Japan's Idemitsu Kosan, Showa Shell to merge on April 1

TOKYO, June 17 (Reuters) - Japanese refiner Idemitsu Kosan

Co and smaller rival Showa Shell Sekiyu will

merge on April 1 next year, the two companies said on Friday.
