Tokyo Gas buys Eagle Ford shale stake, despite loss from prior U.S. purchase

TOKYO, June 21 (Reuters) - Tokyo Gas Co said on

Tuesday it has bought a 25 percent stake in an Eagle Ford shale

gas formation, in what could be among the first shale

investments in the United States by a Japanese firm since the

tumble in energy prices.
