UPDATE 1-Elliott asks Marathon Petroleum to consider breaking up company

Nov 21 (Reuters) - Hedge fund Elliott Management, which owns

about 4 percent of Marathon Petroleum Corp, urged the

refiner to conduct a strategic review and consider splitting

into three businesses.
