UPDATE 1-China's state crude oil reserves at 31.97 mln T by start of 2016

BEIJING, Sept 2 (Reuters) - China increased its strategic

crude oil reserves by 22.5 percent between the middle of last

year and the start of 2016, taking the total to 31.97 million

tonnes (233.4 million barrels), the National Statistical Bureau

said on Friday.
